How To Get Rid Of Wrist Pain

It basically means that some of the muscles are either too short or tight. It can also mean that some of the muscles may be too long and tight as well.

The complications that trigger the pain are that it at times, it does not lie where you are feeling the pain. For instance, on many occasions, the pain in the wrist is caused by the trigger points in the forearm muscles. The pain in the back of the wrist can be triggered in the exterior muscles, and the pain on the palm side of the wrist can occur due to the trigger points in the flexor muscles.

In case you have a carpal tunnel, it indicates that the muscle imbalances are causing a condition that is compressing the median nerve, which gives you all that pain and numbness. Here are some short and effective methods to get rid of wrist pain and eliminate the trigger point. These exercises will take only a few minutes in a day.

Slacken the thumb

Squeeze your thumb and palm gently together in a manner so that your little finger and thumb are touching. Hold them together for at least two minutes. If you are working on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, then keep your wrist straight. A bent wrist can lead to numbness and tingling.

Slacken and stretch forearms in both direction

Gently twist your palm so that your thumb faces downwards. It will help in releasing tension in your elbows and wrist. Hold it at least for two minutes. Then twist the arm the other way and hold it for another two minutes. If any of these twists bring on the symptoms, do not continue these exercises unless your symptoms dissipate. If you are doing the treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, keep your wrist straight. The bent wrist could bring on numbness and tingling. You have to perform these exercises five times a day until the pain goes away completely.

Wear a wrist brace at night

Carpal tunnel becomes worse at night because most people sleep with a bent wrist. This position puts pressure on the median nerve all night. Wearing a brace at night can help in alleviating the condition.

Apply heat

Using a heating pad on your hands, wrist and forearm can help in getting relief from the pain. Do this for at least 20 minutes twice a day.
